4 Ways To Increase The Security Of Your Business

Posted on

If you have been having issues with business security, there are numerous ways that you can increase the security around your business.

1. Install Deadbolt Locks

The first thing that you should do is upgrade the locks in your business. You should have commercial grade bolt locks installed on all of your exterior doors of your business. Commercial grade deadbolt locks are the strongest locks that you can put on your exterior doors. They are really difficult to break through and damage.

2. Cover Up Your Glass

If you have a large storefront windows that are made of glass, you are going to want to cover up the glass. You can cover up the glass with metal security panels that you can pull down over your windows when you close up your shop for the night. You can set up the metal security panels so that you can bolt them in place.

Covering up your glass is a great way to ensure that the glass is not damaged by someone breaking in. If you can afford it, you can also upgrade the strength of your storefront glass with stronger glass, such as bulletproof glass or storm windows.

3. Change the Locks

If you are not sure who has keys to your business, it is time to change the locks. Change the locks and designate a few individuals to have keys to your business. You don't want to have too many individuals have access to your business. The less people who have access to your business, the better.

Have all of your internal and external door locks rekeyed. This will not cost that much and will allow you to regulate who enters and leaves your business better.

4. Add An Electronic Check-In System

For doors that all of your employees need to access, instead of giving everyone keys, set up an electronic check-in system. There are a variety of different types of access systems that you can set-up.

You can give your employees key cards that they can swipe to gain access to certain doors, or you can use a fingerprint system to allow employees access to certain doors. Either type of system will allow you to monitor who is coming and going from your business. It will allow you to ensure that you have control over who enters your business and when they enter your business.

Make sure that you keep your business secure. Install commercial deadbolt locks on all of your external doors and rekey all of your locks. Use electronic entry systems for doors that all employees need access to. For more information on business security systems, contact your local security services today.
